What venues are saying…

As a theater owner, I was absolutely delighted to host Being Somebody on our stage. This heartwarming father-daughter play resonated deeply with our audience, who left the theater uplifted and moved by its warmth and authenticity.

The cast delivered a standout performance.  Marla Mase brought raw energy and honesty to her role, capturing the chaos and vulnerability of adolescence with fearless charm. Her dynamic presence was balanced by Dr. Howard Mase’s heartfelt portrayal of a loving, earnest, man. The play is filled with humor, unexpected twists, and universally relatable stories.

Special thanks to director Elizabeth Browning, whose meticulous vision and direction elevated every performance. Her ability to draw out the best in the cast was evident in every scene.

Being Somebody was not only a joy for the audience but also a true pleasure to present. I wholeheartedly recommend it to any theater looking for a moving, memorable experience.

I am writing to you to highly recommend the theater production of “Being Somebody” starring the father and daughter duo, Dr. Howard Mase and Marla Mase. They performed this amazing production at the Ossining Public Library’s Budarz Theater on April 17 th , 2024.

The show is funny, heart-warming, relatable and magical in many ways. The show had about seventy-five attendees and everyone that attended thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Howard and Marla were great to work with. They were funny, understanding, empathetic and I can honestly say two of the best people that I have had the pleasure of working with in my many years here at the library.

Again, I highly recommend this theater production for your community.

Feel free to reach out with any questions.
